This is a sample/promotional copy of the Japanese release on Epic of Psychic TV's Dreams Less Sweet. It has been signed twice by Jhon Balance, one of his signatures being in his 'real' name of Geff Rushton and the other as 'John Balance', and twice by Peter Christopherson in his full name.

This is a particularly interesting document as it spans the time when Geff Rushton of Psychic TV became the more familiar John (Jhon/n) Balance of Coil, and as 'Geff Rushton' his signature is very rarely seen. Geff signed his name in gold ink around the outline of his image in the photograph printed on the back of the cover sleeve, and then again as John on the Sample sticker in the lower left corner, this time in black pen. He also wrote the 'name' of who this promotional copy was destined to go to - '? ---'

Given that this was the last Psychic TV material which Geff worked on before he - and then Peter - left the group acrimoniously, and that he had here signed the item under both names, this is likely to be one of the first instances of him signing as 'John Balance'.

Peter's name on the photograph is written in full in block - again around the outline of his image -  and also signed on the Sample sticker with his full-name signature, both being in gold ink. This itself is fairly unusual as he would later generally drop his surname and sign simply as 'Peter'.

An extremely rare and possibly unique item - they may have signed other copies of this release in such a way, but this may be the only one which is not dedicated to a specific person - as such this is a rather unusual artifact.

Condition of the sleeve can be evidenced in the photographs - there is noticeable ring/disc wear on the front of the cover, and damage to the lamination on the spine. Slight bumping on the corners. This really deserves to be nicely framed, so such issues are perhaps not largely relevant.

The familiar printed inner sleeve from the UK release is here turned into a four panel sheet which inside has printed information on PTV (in Japanese) and lyrics in both Japanese and English.

The vinyl is in near-mint condition - clean, and mark/scratch free.
