Description
Creamy white marble vinyl version of Coil's sidereal side project Black Light District - A Thousand Lights In A Darkened Room which features some genuinely disorientating and fascinating soundscapes. Aural sexiness for sure.
Released in an edition of 2000 copies on vinyl in three colour pathways - clear. blue, and - as here - white marble. This particular copy's first disc has a few smears of blue, suggesting it was one of the first white copies pressed after the blue run was finished. When held to the light beautiful and subtle veining in the vinyl is revealed. The edition number of this one is 1751 (the last year that New Years Day was legally on March 25...) and is printed on the reverse of the sleeve.
The sleeve artwork on this release is especially notable, featuring found photographs fractally manipulated and original painting from Steven Stapleton of Nurse With Wound.
All vinyl versions of this pressing suffer from an amount of surface noise on the a-side, and this is the case here too - all three tracks being affected to a varying degree. The other three sides are not affected. Aside from this all sides are clean and otherwise blemish free. There is shelf-wear to the bottom of the gatefold sleeve, but in all other respects the sleeve is also in excellent condition

Records are sent outside of their sleeves to prevent seam split, and where inner printed sleeves are present they will be separated from these also. I know all too well the distress caused by a poorly packed record and will do everything I can to ensure that I do not add to that misery! To this end please afford me the opportunity of time to make sure that everything is packed well and securely before it is sent off, especially if purchases are combined.
