Description

Columbia Catalogue No. DB 4398
This is what I am sure is an extremely rare Columbia white label "Demonstration Record/ Not For Sale" issued to the Trade only. It does not feature the release date, but the green label copy was released early 1960 for general sale. I am not sure if these demos were issued to record shops as early as1960, but they were issued to film companies.
'A Voice In The Wilderness' is from the film Expresso Bongo (1959). My late father worked in film publicity and obtained this copy.
The 'b' side is 'Don't Be Mad At Me' also featuring the Shadows.
Terrific collectors item!
