Description

JOHANNES BRAHMS  -

Piano Concerto #1

Artur Rubinstein, piano

Fritz Reiner/Chicago Symphony Orchestra

John Pfeiffer, producer

Leslie Chase, engineer

 Classic Records RCA LSC-1831

[recorded in April of 1954, this was released initially in mono only on LM-1831 and never issued in stereo at all until ARL1-2044 in 1977!  This issue uses the original 1954 cover along with the "Living Stereo" banner - quite an exciting combination!

For reference to the initial stereo release on ARL1-2044, see The Abso!ute Sound:

     Issue #11, Page 389

This is a very early Factory-Sealed pressing of the mid-1990’s Classic Records issue, on 180-gram vinyl.
