Rene Cabel (Havana, 1914)," EL TENOR DE LAS ANTILLAS ", was listed as one of the greatest performers of bolero on the island in a successful career that began in the thirties and continued until the early sixties.

Was the preferred interpreter of the great composers of the era, such as Ernesto Lecuona, Rafael Hernández, Osvaldo Farres and Rene Touzet, giving those who privileged their unpublished compositions for the world premiere.

Cabel captivated audiences in New York and Latin America, where he made numerous tours. In July 1961 finally came out of Cuba and settled in Miami, where he made frequent appearances in nightclubs. In 1964 he traveled to Colombia hired and there became the artistic Regent Hotel Tequendama.

After the death of his friend Miguelito Valdés in full play, Cabel stopped singing in public. On April 4, 1998 died in Santa Fe de Bogota removed from the art world.       Track listing
