Cilla Black - ‘A Fool Am I / For No One’. R 5515
Cilla Black 1966 UK DEMO pressing of the ‘A Fool Am I / For No One' 7" single. Released on the 14th October 1966 and housed within the original 1966 sleeve. This copy was originally the property of the BBC so it is quite likely this is the actual copy you heard broadcast all those years ago.
The b-side here is of course the Beatles track ‘For No One’ taken from the Revolver album released earlier the same year.
Both labels state: ‘DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE’ and feature the release date of ’14.10.66’. The a-side also features some writing related to the release - ‘BBC’ (the original owner), ‘2.40 fade’ and ‘Sood’? A wonderful pice of pop history and Beatles related demo.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. 7XCE 18405-1 1 G KT
Side 2. 7XCE 18406-1 1 G KT
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD++ condition.
Both labels are in VERY GOOD+ condition.
