This auction is for a very rare 7" PICTURE SLEVE from Chuck Berry for his record "After School Session". Printed in 1957 by Chess Records (Chess EP 5118). NO RECORD IS INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION. We are selling solely the Picture Sleeve as it is very rare and a collector's item itself. It also is an incredible copy of this extremely old sleeve. The sleeve has some minor wear as you would expect from a sleeve of this age. There is some faint pencil writing on the back of the jacket with "1.29" written. It could probably be removed with some gentle erasing but we preferred to keep it in the shape it came to us in. I would rate the jacket at VG+ with the biggest detriment being some discoloration/shelfwear on the front and back of the record. There are no split seams besides the most minuscule start of a seam split on the top right front corner (literally less than a centimeter long and if handled properly it should not change (it's barely visible in the 4th photo on the left side, nearest the hand holding the record. You can see it faintly if you look closely, it's next to the opening of the jacket).. The rest of the seams are extremely strong with no signs of splitting. - M- Mint Minus - Near perfect, most likely and unplayed record
- EX - Somewhere between VG+ and M- with hardly any noise present, very well kept jacket.
- VG+ Very Good Plus - Very close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect playability. Only records stored and used with care will grade out to VG+.
- VG Very Good - A used, reasonable copy that plays. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of some light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still nice and playable.
- VG- Very Good Minus - A record with significant wear and marks. Records graded VG-usually have some noticeable surface noise.
- G+ Good Plus. 'Good' means pretty beat up. From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about extremely beat up records.
