Description
CHRYSALIS – DEFINITION LP. This is an original copy of a very rare and highly acclaimed folk-psych album, issued on MGM (SE-4547) in 1968. It was the band’s only LP and is considered by some to be the most beautiful folk-psych album of them all ! It is full of stunning songwriting and performances throughout and features the wonderful female lead vocals of Nancy Nairn. The album is housed in a thick gatefold sleeve and is exceptionally fine condition for its age – the sleeve has a "punch-hole" bottom left and and what looks like a pen line indent down the front (but as this is on the black part it is hardly worth mentioning and is only done so here for the sake of completeness !) whilst the vinyl is virtually unmarked and looks to have been played very few times indeed ! I would be very surprised if there were many finer examples of this much sought-after, but increasingly scarce, album around now.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED – As a record collector for many years, I know only too well that, despite the various systems now used, grading remains largely subjective, everyone essentially having their own ideas as to what NM-, EX+, VG++ etc. should mean ! Instead, I try to describe each record (via a visual inspection) as honestly and accurately as I can – perhaps to the point of being overly critical, as even new records, let alone those of 30-40 year vintage, can have some marks ! If, however, your standards are even higher and you are genuinely unhappy with my assessment, a refund of the purchase price will be given upon return of the record, at buyer’s expense, in the same condition as sent. Please bear in mind that many (if not most !) vinyl records usually have at least one or two light surface marks (lines/grazing/scuffs) mainly due to their paper inner-sleeves. As these usually do not affect play at all, such slight imperfections may not necessarily be specifically mentioned in the item description. All albums are sent in new cruciform mailers with additional stiffeners/padding as necessary for secure shipment.
