RECOMMENDED
Nobody was expecting this one at all. Released at the end of spring 2021, Faded Now is far more than a placeholder while we all wait for Dear Tommy, which has been a hell of a long time coming. Originally scheduled for release in 2018, and originally announced back in 2014 with the first single, 'Shadow', landed a year later, we could speculate on the cause of all this re-recording and re-working business, but basically it's still not here and this is now the second intervening record the band have given us to temper frustrations.

To be fair, we're pretty happy to take this one for the time being. As ever, Ruth Radelet sounds utterly mesmerising, whether that's on the tech-y beach house of 'You're No Good', the broken atmosphere of 'Twist the Knife', or the tender acoustic guitar fable, 'I Want to be Alone'. Basically, if this is the stop gap we're almost thinking about never leaving.
