AIR TRAVEL
AIR TRAVEL was Chris Farlowe & The Thunderbirds debut single in 1962 and by quite a margin the most difficult to find of all his records.
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1-SIDED ACETATE OF HIS FIRST RECORD, MOST PROBABLY THE ONLY ONE IN EXISTENCE!!
For any record made there were three principal stages of pressings before the one that was sold in the shops.
First of all an ACETATE is cut onto hard plastic/metal, fewer than five copies of this format are made to give the artiste or other interested party an idea of how the finished article will sound.
Then a TEST PRESSING is made to test the fidelity of the recording and any other factors, then the third stage are the DEMO copies which are pressed and sent on to the radio Stations.
