RCA LSP 1993, "CHET ATKINS IN HOLLYWOOD"

ANY SEALED COPY OF THIS ALBUM IS RARE, WHETHER IT IS THE FIRST (1958)  LOS ANGELES STUDIO VERSION, OR CHET'S LATER RERECORDED VERSION (1961).

According to the (Chet Atkins Fan Club) 'Mister Guitar' Newsletter # 74, this oddball 1967 2nd ReIssue features the Nashville Revision on Side 1 and the Studio Version on Side 2 ! !

THIS "IN HOLLYWOOD" REISSUE IS HIGHLY COLLECTABLE  BECAUSE THE FILM STRIP COVER, DIFFERENT FROM THE EARLIER COVERS, HAD A VERY LIMITED DISTRIBUTION.

" I UNDERSTAND CHET USED A HEAVIER GAUGE STRINGS ON THE HOLLYWOOD (1958) RECORDING SESSION THAN WHEN HE RECORDED HIS PLAYING FOR THE NASHVILLE (1961) RERECORDING - SO THIS 1967 REISSUE GIVES A COMPARISON OF THE TWO SESSIONS, BACK TO BACK."

"All of the Chet Atkins In Hollywood releases are considered to be perfectly engineered, and are on listings of the all time best audiophile recordings, as are many of RCA's Living Stereo recordings of this era. I am collecting all of the Living Stereo vinyl I can locate."
