ITEM:   VERY Rare STEREO Pressing,   " We Paid Our Dues! " , by the Charlie Rouse Quartet and the Seldon Powell Quartet.  Released on the Epic Records Deep Groove label, catalog number BA-17018 STEREO. First Pressing, Matrix Stampers numbers are: XSB54253-1A; and  XSB54254-1A. 

COMMENTS / CONDITION: This LP came from a private collection - it is not a beat up item bought at a yard sale. The record was visually graded, and was test played.

Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.

Vinyl is in strong VG  condition, retaining much of the original gloss.  No warps, deep scratches, cracks, or chips. There are numerous scuffs and light scratches present that do occasionally affect the listening experience.

On my older system, both sides played quietly, with no harsh background noise, explosive pops, or groove lock. There were some areas where soft tics/pops were present on a few revolutions, but did not overpower the music. There was one skip half way through Track 3 on Side 2. I did not try to locate and fix the skip. I will leave that to the judgment of the next owner if he/she wants to attempt to fix it. NOTE: Sound quality will vary from system to system. The above comments are included strictly as reference, and are not a statement as to the experience you may have with your equipment.

Labels are in good, clean condition with no peeling edges, or writing. The center hole is perfectly round and shows no signs of abusive playing.

The cover is in VG to VG+ condition, with moderate edge/corner wear, and rub wear/soiling from handling and storage. Seams have shelf wear, but are solid with no splits. This is not a cut-out, no punch holes, notches, or clipped corners.

Inner sleeve is plain white paper.

Other than wiping the vinyl with a dampened cloth before playing,  I have not tried to clean the vinyl or the labels. Serious collectors usually have their own preferred methods they use to care for their records.

Due to the scarcity of Stereo pressings of this LP, it would make an excellent listening, or filler copy, to retain until another Stereo copy becomes available at a reasonable price. To encourage a quick sale, I am listing this at a low starting bid, WITH NO RESERVE.
