The Way I Grade Records:

I use standard "Goldmine Style" record grading and am pretty conservative. I rarely ever use the word "mint" because I feel that records are usually less than mint by the time they've been shipped from the plant to the distributor to the record store. A VG+ grading from me is what many other dealers would call "Mint" or "Near Mint". On the low end of the scale, if I call something G+ that means it's probably pretty worn and scuffed but will still play with a weighted stylus without skipping. If something is so banged up that it's going to skip I won't even bother to sell it. I rarely ever sell anything that I'd grade below a VG- unless it's something that's unbelievably rare that some collector will want to have it in his collection as a place-holder until he finds a better copy.

My feelings on reserve auctions:

Reserve auctions are for chumps. There's nothing worse that winning an auction and then finding out you didn't really win it because the seller has set some ridiculous reserve. I hate bidding on reserve auctions, so I don't use reserves when I sell stuff. I set the minimum bid at the lowest amount I'm willing to sell the item for. This sometimes helps the bidders save money and is a more honest way of doing business.

Shipping Charges:

See below for shipping calculator. Shipping includes sturdy, professional-grade HEAVY CARDBOARD record mailer. In the United States shipping is done via PRIORITY MAIL. I recommend this form of shipping for records (especially rare records) because the less time a record spends in transit, the less time there is for the postal service to mess it up. This is particularly true during the Summer months. If you want insurance on your package there will be an extra charge -- be sure to email me before purchasing the item if you require extras like insurance or tracking (delivery confirmation). Before emailing me about the shipping prices, be aware that the cost of professional-grade packing materials and the weight that they add to the package and the cost of Priority Mail shipping all add up to the cost I am charging. You are getting the service you are paying for, unlike some other unscrupulous sellers who will charge $4 for shipping and then send your record via media mail stuffed into a bubble mailer. When you buy a record from me, you are buying a record packed and shipped with LOVE.

Accepted Forms of Payment

I accept paypal, cash, or postal money orders in the US. Orders outside the US are limited to paypal. Also, if making payment by means other than paypal, don't forget to include a note saying what item you are sending payment for, and -- and this is crazy that I have to say this -- YOUR ADDRESS.

Email if you have any questions. Check my feedback to see testimonials to my service and quality of the items I sell. Bid with confidence knowing that I take pride in customer satisfaction! Check my other auctions. I've usually got a lot of wacky stuff on deck, so check it out.
