Description
A rare chance to own a piece of cultural history. First pressing of 2000 copies, manufactured and distributed by the Manson Family, as well as producer, Phil Kaufman. There's a good chance that every copy touched the hands of either of those two. The jacket of this release is notoriously delicate paper, so they're hard to find in good condition. As you can see, the vinyl with the original yellow AWARENESS label is in great shape. Both sides sound great, with light background noise that doesn't detract from the listening experience at all.
The cover has some issues: a completely split bottom seam, paper loss on the bottom right corner (see photos). The title seam has wear. The top spine is 1/2 split as well. Contained in a crystal clear poly bag (which will be included), it looks just fine. You'll see the delicate nature of the cover when you receive it. It's a wonder that it's in this good of condition, 55 years later.
AS A BONUS: you will also receive a copy of very rare printed police file records from the investigation of this case, including Susan Atkins probation violation jail records, Barbara Hoyt interview, & Mary Brunner's personal references / statements for probation. These artifacts are extremely rare and have been seen by few people outside law enforcement officials.
All in all, this is a serious culturally significant artifact. Please see many more details below.
