WOW!!! MEGARARE and hard-to-find original Stereo very first press released in Chile in 1971 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records), an EMI company, catalog number (S)A&M-30030, with hand etched matrix numbers SP-77015 4 in Side A and SP-77016 4 in Side B, with original gold/black A&M and Ode Records labels!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!! WOW!!! And what a great condition of both covers and record!!! Yes Sirs, INCREDIBLE FIND!!!

“CELEBRATION” was originally released in 1970 and we had to wait until 1971 to see this classic rock album with unavailable live performances in other records, released in Chile, but like in most of the cases of that period, we got it with an UNIQUE COVER!!! The cover is unlaminated and is the typical Chilean cover made of 2 single sheets of paper kept together for an outer plastic bag, in this case it doesn’t have a cardboard to help the cover to keep firm and solid, so it keeps very fragile. Front cover keeps the original US artwork, with album title written only in English with subtitle in Spanish only and at the bottom right corner the A&M and Ode Records logo. Back cover also has the original artwork, but it’s blue tinted, with tracklist written in English, translated to Spanish. It’s interesting to see that in front cover, between the paper and the plastic bag it’s a little “floating” white paper “SERIE E° 300 POPULAR” informing the price of the record. In labels the album title and tracklist are written only in English. It’s interesting to the writing of the song “The Only Mama That’ll Walk The Line”, correctly written in label, but misprinted in back cover “THE ONLY MAMA, THAT’LL WALK THE LINE”, with an extra “,”. WOW!!! Yes Sirs, UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE ERROR from Chile again!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, clean, no marks, no writings, with minimal wear in the mouth and corners, some light age browning in back cover, no rips, some creases. The outer plastic bag could be removed to make look the cover better, but it’s part of the cover and even though it’s in VG- or VG condition, because it has some rips and blemishes, it has protected very well the paper. The record is in superb EX or even EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean but with some light hairlines and many scuffs which don’t affect play, no scratches. Labels are in EX+ or NM- condition both sides, absolutely clean and clear, with only some spindle hole wear. The sound is the best part of this record, it’s in strong EX+ or NM- condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), no clicks, no pops, only some really minimal light crackles here and there, and in EX or EX+ condition the Side B, loud, clear and clean, with only a little more evident crackles and some soft occasional pops in the song “Air Algiers” and “To Beat The Devil”, which of course don’t cause any distraction from the superb audio this record keeps from the beginning to the end. I can say most of the songs play in absolute NM condition!!! But I’d recommend a vacuum cleaning anyway. Overall, a nice record with an UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE ERROR with still a very glossy look and a great sound quality after 42 years, a record to see and hear to enjoy from the beginning to the end, no repetitions, no sticks, no jumps, no distortions at all. Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a copy of this RARE record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

PAYMENT

PayPal (send me a message if you offer some other way to pay that we can accept)

Payment must be received within the first 7 seven days after the auction is ended.

If you pay via PayPal and PayPal holds the money (with status “Completed – Funds Not Yet Available” in my PayPal account), I will consider the items paid when funds are available in my PayPal account (this could happen after 21 days buyer paid in accord to PayPal policies). If you don’t want to take the risk to have to wait those 21 days please wait for my invoice and instructions.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

In the case PayPal informs me the funds are “PENDING” in my account, the record will be shipped immediately after PayPal releases the payment and funds are available. Please, remember that in my auctions the buyer pays for shipping and if the money isn’t available in my PayPal account I can’t ship the records. I know this could be an inconvenient, but I hope you can understand that PayPal places on hold the money, not me.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

In the case PayPal has placed on hold the payment, feedback will be left when buyer has received the record and expressed his/her satisfaction with a possitive feedback.

Buyers pay for shipping in my auctions, so it’s obvious that if money is placed on hold the seller (me) won’t have that money available to ship the items. What kind of help is that? Buyers deserve respect and I don’t see how to place on hold the payments will help to “maintain successful transactions”… My buyers and me don’t need that kind of help!!! The comments I get prove the quality of the records I sell and the satisfaction of my buyers with the service I give. I hope you can understand that I try to give all the satisfaction possible and records are sent when payments are available in my PayPal account but if PayPal decides to place on hold your payment and the money you pay for shipping, then it’s PayPal the responsible for the extra delay of 21 days, NOT ME.
