Description

 You are bidding on a CBS Laboratories Test Record, SQT-1100, for testing, aligning, and testing of your SQ quadraphonic system. It is used for quantitative measurements as well as signals for acoustical adjustments. The record is in new condition and comes with the original blank white record jacket. If you have a high end SQ quadraphonic system then this test record is a must for the best possible playback results!

Here is some additional information:

Side A:

- Reference signal tone 1kz, mono, for pre-amp balancing Sweep signals, 40 to 20 kHz, for all channels: Left Front, Right Front, Right Back, Left Back. (used to check the frequency response of the cartridge, pre-amp and the SQ decoder).

- Phase measurement signals, spot frequencies. (used for checking the cartridge left to right phase). Can be used with an oscilloscope or phase meter.

- Channel Identification Signals (pink noise ): Center Front, Right Front, Center Right, Right Back, Center Back, Left Back, Center Left, Left Front, Center Front. For adjusting the relative levels in your quad listening room for proper balance.

Side B:

- Signals for testing the dynamics of your SQ quad decoder.

- AGC tones permit examining the onset of "logic" in your SQ decoder.

- ON-OFF tones allow you to check the reaction time for the logic for both single channels as well as switching between channels.

 - Various tracks for adjusting the reference levels, 0 dB at 1 kHz, for all the SQ positions, Center Front, Right Front, Center Right, Right Back, Center Back, Left Back, Center Left, Left Front, Center Front.
