Being a veteran of the touring rock'n'roll nightclub circuit from 1975 - 1981, I can relate to this album whole heartedly. A bunch of barely legal kids with a passion to entertain and a dream to succeed. This one-take live recording captures a moment in time never to be repeated. Des Moines, Iowa September 9, 1972 ~ Could you imagine? I can, and you will too as you feel the raw passion that pours from these grooves. Check out 'tomboy' lead singer, Kathy, with her nitty gritty vocal style ~ Bunk's guitar leads ~ Joe's tasty organ riffs (not to mention his full-blown 'fro!) ~ Hank's drummin' and trash talkin', and Tim's always on-the-money bass licks.
THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!
A hand full of Classic Rock & R&B cover tunes, a couple of original tunes, and all performed live onstage at a modest rock club in the heartlands of America nearly 40 years ago.
