Description

This auction is for an old record album case recently purchased at an estate sale. Case is approximately 14" by 13" and appears to be covered in leather. It has a little metal tab and an "E" on the spine.  The front has the logo of the Victor Talking Machine Co. dog and phonograph, and is marked "His Master's Voice" Reg. U.S.Pat.Off., M.de F.Marca Industrial Registrada No 4180 l de Febrero, 1904. Inside the front cover is marked Patented December 17th, 1918 Victor Talking Machine Company and a blank Index. There are paper sleeves for 12 records, and they are:

Columbia Label Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys; Kentucky Waltz on one side and Rocky Road Blues on the other.

Bluebird Label Carter Family; Where Shall I Be? on one side and The Rock Where Moses Stood on the other.

Bluebird Label Carter Family; When the World's On Fire on one side and Keep on the Sunny Side on the other (a couple very small scratches)

Columbia Label Bill Monroe and His Blue Grass Boys; Blue Yodel #4 on one side and Will You Be Loving Another Man on the other.

Okeh Label Roy Acuff and his Smoky Mountain Boys; You're My Darling on one side and Branded Wherever I Go on the other.

Rich-R-Tone Label The Stanley Brothers; Mother No Longer Awaits Me at Home on one side and The Girl Behind the Bar on the other.

Okeh Label Roy Acutt and His Smoky Mountain Boys; Mother's Prayers Guide Me on one side and I'm Building a Home on the other.

Victor Label Carolina Twins; When You Go A'Courtin' on one side and Where is My Mama on the other.

Decca Label Webb Pierce; Sparkling Brown Eyes on one side and Even Tho on the other. (couple scratches)

Harmony Label Cornet Solo; Old Folks at Home on one side and Carry Me Back to Old Virginny on the other.

Okeh Label Roy Acuff and His Smoky Mountain Boys; I'll Reap My Harvest in Heaven on one side and Don't Make Me Go to Bed and I'll Be Good on the other. (couple small scratches)

Columbia Label Charlie Poole with his North Carolina Ramblers; Leaving Home on one side and There'll Come a Time on the other (small chip on the very outer edge).

The covers of the case are trying to separate from the spine, but the sleeves are secure. I do not know how well these records play, but have tried to describe any defects. Some have a couple small "lines" on them, but I don't think they are scratches. They are all quite old, but appear to be in very good condition for age.
