Here's Carole King's classic album "Tapestry." But this record is something special. This is Classic Records remastered release at 45 rpm! Why 45 rpm? Just as analog tape sounds better as it runs faster, so too for vinyl. Running faster, there's less information in every inch of the record. The recorded information has more room, so there's more detail! And, that's not all. These records are only pressed on one side! Some audiophiles swear there's a distortion on the disc when it's pressed on two sides, so this disc is only pressed on one side. Does it make a difference? I can't tell, as I've never played this record!
I bought this slab on 05/04/2001 (almost 10 years ago!), anticipating the perfect Autumn night, and the perfect bottle of red wine. Alas, that time didn't come. But three children came. And with that came changes. My beloved Thorens 320 'table was sold. Now, I don't even have a 'table hooked up to the ol' hifi. So why am I hanging on to this thing?
