THE CARLO BÄDER BIG BAND Moons Of Jupiter (Private Pressing KOB 300) RARE German Original Pressing MINT
RARE original German first pressing of The Carlo Bäder Big Band`s debut album "Moons Of Jupiter", a private pressing (c. 1977).
Unfortunately, even a diligent internet search doesn`t turn up much information on this excellent free-form jazz big band from Southern Germany. Suffice to say that "Moons Of Jupiter" was recorded some time in the mid-to-late seventies and very probably issued by pianist and bandleader Carlos Bäder himself, or an immediate associate. The musicianship is uniformly excellent and inspired, with influences ranging from electric-era Miles Davis to Dave Brubeck`s "Take Five", with a sprinkling of Latin rhythms added for good measure. The recording itself, having been made in Germany, is of course absolutely top-notch. Probably not more than a few hundred copies of "Moons Of Jupiter" were ever in circulation: Definitely something for the discerning jazz collector.
GRADING:
MINT- COVER with practically no wear whatsoever. Please see the photos for details.
- Original German sleeve with matt laminate front and back.
- Very thin horizontal scratch along top edge of back cover (at top left). Very probably from initial sleeve production itself.
- Small brown stain of unknown origin on front cover (at top center).
- Other than that, the cover is pristine and practically as new.

MINT(-) RECORD that looks absolutely unplayed.
- Absolutely peerless audio reproduction throughout.
- In near-perfect condition, the record has no visible wear at all.
- Static may cause an occasional, light background click or pop. 
- Original custom-printed record labels with no spindle wear whatsoever.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "ST KOB-300-A" and "ST KOB-300-B".
- This issue of "Moons Of Jupiter" is fully certified to be an original first-and-only German pressing, issued circa 1977.
