Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "Whole Lotta Shakin'" - by Carl Perkins on the Columbia "Six-Eye" Record label (CL 1234), in beautiful original monaural sound, issued in 1958. CONDITION: JACKET - VG+(Original Columbia jacket is 62 years old and showing that age; there are scuffs, marks, edge and corner wear, even the original price sticker - please see actual box set in photos); VINYL - VG+(Vinyl has light marks and scuffs but the deep groove Columbia Six-Eye vinyl still produces great sound, ready to bring you the best vintage rock'n'roll music you've ever heard - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: This iconic artifact from the dawn of Rock'n'Roll is Carl's first recording after he left Sun Records. Whereas Elvis went with RCA, Carl chose Columbia, and this record still holds its own against any other founding father of the genre. There is wear to both jacket and vinyl, but they still look and sound terrific, respectively. SPECIAL NOTE: To round out the package, the original inner sleeve is included. Any further discussion would be damning with faint praise. Here's the low down: Don't miss this jewel.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
