One of the most pleasing pop groups of the '90s, the Cardigans specialized in sugary confections that would grow annoying very quickly if they weren't backed by solid musicianship and clever arrangements. The critics inserted the group into the space age pop revivalist camp - the sunny disposition of vocalist Nina Persson being the major argument in favor - but the Cardigans later proved that they were more difficult to pigeonhole, however.
For listeners who had caught up with the Cardigans on their breakout album, Life, the group's third album was a confusing pastiche which included several conventional pop songs, but also added tracks with left-field arrangements and some (comparatively) disturbing lyrics.
Rare original Swedish 11 track LP - very hard to find in this condition!!
