Description

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART & HIS MAGIC BAND - "TROUT MASK REPLICA."  1969.  TWO RECORD SET.  THIS IS A TRUE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING ON FRANK ZAPPA'S STRAIGHT RECORDS.  CATALOG # STS 1053 APPEARS ON BOTH THE COVER AND THE RECORD LABELS!

INCLUDES ORIGINAL STRAIGHT INNER SLEEVES AND A HIGH QUALITY REPRINT OF THE ORIGINAL LYRIC/ARTWORK FOLDOUT.

COVER: VG.  Minor ring wear to front cover, ever so slight ring wear to back cover.  Couple of corner dings.  Small 1" to 2" splits on top seams near opening.  Spine looks good, print is legible.  Inside gatefold looks nice!

RECORDS:  NEAR MINT.  Very few light hairline scuffs can be seen upon close inspection.  Both records have retained their original lustre and shine.  Looks almost new.  Plays near mint with very little surface noise at all.  All 4 labels are immaculate - clean with no writing.  Keeper copies of these two platters!!

Excellent copy of this classic album that is now more than 40 years old.  Dont sleep on this one.
