(PLEASE NOTE: This is the same copy of this album that I offered for sale a couple of months ago. For some insane reason I didn't check the quality of the vinyl properly (the first and hopefully only time I've done that), and the buyer quite correctly sent it back. I'm now re-offering with the CORRECT grading for the lps). Here's something really weird and wonderful. I went to the GMR label office a while back and was buying some product. Hidden deeply away in a cupboard were a few test pressings of some of their previous vinyl releases. I found two white label test pressing copies of Candlemass - Diamonds of Doom (PLRLP010) , the 1000 only vinyl 'best of' release from 2003. Amazingly LP1 on each copy was on blue vinyl, the 2nd record was black vinyl. The official 1000 standard pressing was only released as black vinyl so it seems these could be the only 2 in existence! Nobody at GMR had a clue how this had happened and no-one knew of any other test pressings made for the release. I'm keeping one for my collection, so here's the other! (I've since located a third black vinyl lp but no extra blue disc to make a third set). Both LPs are in vg+/vg++ condition. They both have jumps and clicks in places (these test pressings were rejected by the label), and look quite well used/played. Comes in the standard sleeve of the official release, but the box on the back cover that would normally show number....of 1000, is blank. A unique opportunity for the serious Candlemass collector.
