First my brief apologies for not being able to list as many great records as I had planned this week. Family obligations have slowed things down a bit. Wait a minute, not that my present auctions aren’t good records, just nothing REAL special so here’s one I’ve been holding onto for the right time and that time is now.

Here we have the Capitol catalogue number SABB-12248. OK so what? Well this catalogue number got pulled back at the latest of minutes and the already packed and ready to go shipping boxes full of this album were very quickly and throughly destroyed. Well not all. The few that managed to survive were what I recall as being “promo” copies in the sense that they were sawed cutouts for those who get those sorts of records for sales purposes and the like. You know what I mean. Where’s all this going? Well the copy I hope you will decide to bid on is extremely unique in that IT IS NOT CUTOUT. What appears to have happened is the nastiest of saws barley grazed this gem. If you can please fan out the picture of the front cover and look closely about halfway down the right side where the records would come out (not this copy, it’s sealed) you’ll notice a very small straight horizontal line maybe a sixteenth of an inch in size. The saw actually cut the shrink ever so gently and missed cutting the cover just barely grazing it. It couldn’t have been any less touched if you tried a hundred times. I’m not claiming that there aren’t any copies out there that haven’t been sawed, I’ve just never, ever seen or heard of any. I’m sure there’s probably one in the George Harrison library or maybe the President of Capitol has one. Well here’s one, and I always felt really glad and thankful to have it. As I end all my auction descriptions stating that I’m passing on my personal collection to other Beatle People in the world, I know someone out there is going to take new possession of this true rarity that I always kept with the other Crown Jewels in my record room but like I said, it’s the right time.

This record is SEALED and Mint and doesn’t exist, well it does exists here and in a handful of other places. I’ve stated several times in my auctions that it’s not all about the money and I mean it (I do hope this record gets a million though). I have had a blast selling to some really great people on eBay and do want you to enjoy your experience whether you decide to bid or not. I appreciate everyone’s time and opinion. Nuff said
