Description
Here is the rarest (and very first) UK pressing of Monster Movie by The Can on the original United Artists 'burgundy' label (UAS 29094) from 1969. This is Can's debut LP and only a very few copies of the original burgundy first issue sold before the label changed colour to coffee and cream. It is extremely rare to see the true first burgundy LP pressing of Monster Movie. And a copy as beautiful as this one? It's barely been played.
There is hardly a mark around either of the spindle holes on these gorgeous labels. Clearly this treasured disc has only ever been played a handful of times. Both sides of the vinyl look near perfect. This superb treasured original first pressing stereo disc easily grades EX.
The front-laminated single sleeve is strong and flat with all straight edges and virtually no sign of ringwear on the vulnerable black unlaminated rear. There's no unwanted writing, rips or tears, hardly any creasing, in fact very little to report at all. This sleeve warrants a grade of EX-.
