Description
After more than 40 years collecting some crud and some cream of the Rock and Roll era (plus a few that I liked), the time has come to free up some space in the under stairs cupboard. I think I was fortunate to be around in the 60’s, when a lot of people threw out their Rock’n’Roll and moved on to the Brit Beat. Junk (sorry – House Clearance) shops became one of my favourite haunts. Most of the Major labels are covered and a lot of minor ones. I will answer as many questions as I can, but I don’t have all the answers. My replies will be given with the fullest extent of my knowledge.
Charles Hardin Holley - Buddy. 3 February 1959, The Day The Music Died, as Don McLean sang. 50 Years ago this month, one of the greatest Rock 'n' Roll talents was sadly lost to us, but his music will live on. 1958 on Coral Records, tri-centre, FEP 2005. Disc and original PS are both in Excellent+-N/Mint condition. Labels are clean, clear and un-marked, but there is some spindle wear. Absolutely flawless sound.

In my collection are the bog-standards, some speciality, humorous, rare, very rare and some you will never have heard of. Descriptions will be basic, as most of you should know what you are bidding on. Extended descriptions of some of the rarer items and I reserve the right to name-drop. UK pressings that have lost their centres will have centres fitted, as may some US pressings that, contrary to popular belief, are NOT juke box records, but were pressed without centres. Depends how many I can find.
The prices I set are reasonable, given the rarity and quality of some of these records; the others are at give-away prices. I do have a copy of the 2006 Rare Record Price Guide, so expensive ones will start at 10% - 20% book price.
Most of my collection is originals, some are Re-issue, and will be noted as such, and some are somewhat dubious, but you are paying for the music, not the medium. I will not knowingly misrepresent any of my records. If I have acquired it as genuine, then I will resell it as such.
Postage is standard £1.50 each record in UK, £2.50 in Europe and £3.50 Rest of the World. If you are bulk buying a discount should be negotiable, but let me know before I invoice. Post invoice, all prices are final.
Grading is on an ad-hoc basis, I don’t believe in the Good Record Guide good is bloody excellent. If my record plays well, it plays well. If it sounds like crud, it probably is, and I will say so. Some items will be marked as “N/Mint”; these have been played a maximum of two times, on quality equipment.
If you live within reasonable travelling distance (Your choice), and wish to collect, on multiple buys only, I have no problem with this and will even throw in a tea or coffee.
