listen to A side Bomp above, B side is another funky disco number a bit less "hard" than Bomp, a great two for one record! some very light marks on the wax that aren't a problem, both sides play strong. labels are perfect. recorded at Owl Recording Studios Inc out of Columbus Ohio. for some background on this studio and label visit http://www.buckeyebeat.com/owlrecords.html Owl released some fine Ohio funk and soul records, inluding platters by Jupiter's Release, Za-Brook, and notably Wee (reissued on Numero Group, for Wee's story and some more Owl Records inside info check out http://columbusmonthly.com/articles/2011/01/28/features/doc4b684ee7e1e87206129092.txt). i havent heard it but the Ohio Soul Recordings website lists another 45 by the group: Buddy Davis & the Sensational Showmen "No Time To Lose/ Funky Pooh Pooh" on New Colony from 1970. funky pooh pooh!?
