Description
This group consists of M3S 606, the first six Beethoven String Quartets on three records, and quartets 7-11 on MS 6185, MS 6186, MS 6187 and MS 6188. A total of seven records consisting of all the early and middle string quartets of Beethoven.
All seven records have been play graded on my Basis/Benz/Levinson/Wilson system and play as new. All but MS 6187 are original Columbia Six Eye pressings. MS 6187 is an early Black Two Eye with the large script writing on the label, the first pressing after the Six Eye. These records aren't rare, but they very hard to find in this condition and in one place. If you have been looking to obtain one of the great performances of probably the greatest cycle of string quartets, this one should not be missed. This is one time where sound and performance are both to be found. These are great records.
