Description
Original 10" issue. 8 tracks with Powell, piano; George Duvivier, bass; Art Taylor, drums. Burt Goldblatt cover art.
Cover: VG(-) to VG Intact with some wear on the edges and corners. There is a significant amount of scuff marks on the cover. These are probably a result of handling and storage. Light aging and light soil from handling on the back cover. A few minor edge tears on the bottom of the notes on the back cover. These do not interfere with the text.
Record: VG Visually shows no wear. There are some discoloration marks in the vinyl. Most likely this happened during the manufacturing process and not as a result of wear or poor care. These do not seem to effect the sound. There are asmall number of rub and handling surface marks. All seem light and most are barely noticeable. There is some surface noise. Most audible on "Bag's Groove" and "Stella By Starlight". There are a few clicks and crackles on all tracks. Most are very light, but audible. Its difficult to determine whether this noise is a result of playing the record or in the composition of the vinyl. This is an very early 10" vinyl L.P. and Roost was not know for high quality pressings at that time. Audibly checked.
