Description

White label, mono, deep groove, promotional copy. Little's Quintet features Max Roach, drums, tympani, vibes; Eric Dolphy, alto sax, clarinet, flute; Julian Priester, trombone; Don Friedman, piano; Art Davis is bass on 3 tracks and Ron Carter is bass on 4 tracks. This is a fine, well arranged session with a variety of tempos and outstanding tunes. It is a particular showcase for Littles's enormous talent. Cover: VG(-) Bottom edge has completely split. Record ring on the front and back cover. Some corner wear. Ring on the front cover has resulted in some scuff marks. Record: Mint Visually shows no wear. There is 1 small, very light rub mark on Side A. Barely visible. In spite of the wear described on the cover, there is no surface noise. I feel the cover wear was caused by handling and shelf wear. This is the only "promotional" copy I have ever seen.
