Description
This is Blue Note Records BST 84231, Bobby Hutcherson Happenings, a blue and white, New York USA label, original stereo copy of this great record with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. As with some later New York issues, there was never an ear (p) mark on any copies of this record. The record is in VG+(+) condition (a strong VG+) showing a broad mark on side 1 and a few light marks on side 2 and playing quietly except for some quiet moments at the beginning of side 1, a quiet part of track 2 and the last track on side 2 where a light background crackle is audible. The original cover, with the 43 West 61st St., New York 23 address and Made In USA, shows light shelf and edge wear but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show almost no spindle marks. An original thumbnail inner sleeve is included as well. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this wonderful original Blue Note stereo issue with all the proper marking in place.
