Description
Greetings welcome to my sale. I have been collecting records all my life or as long as I care to remember. I now have a young son who is getting to the age of discovering crayons and taking an interest in everything. I have decided to part with my records. This decision kills me but I would prefer them to go to collectors or fans as opposed to risk getting damaged the way I damaged my mum and dads records. They have been rarely played. I tended to buy records on day of release, for the past twenty years I bought CD's as well. Played the CDs and stored the records. Some of my records are originals but I have never bought to sell so have no idea of the value. I will start them all cheap and let the market decide. I will though give as much detail as possible to enable you to value. All have been stored upright in protective sleeves. All records will be sent in mailers with stiffeners and in a protective sleeve. I will take great care. I am going to list chronologically as much as possible and start with Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Band, The Doors. 4 of the greatest artists ever to live on earth.
Please see my other items, postage discount available for multiple. I will list based on record collector gradings.
Bob Dylan World Gone Wrong 1993 Columbia Thick slab of vinyl bought in 1993 along with the CD (So I never played this) 47857
Records excellent/mint: Honestly, you will be lucky to find a better copy of the record. Sleeve Excellent (would be mint but for a little ware at the top)
'Well you can tell ev'rybody. Down in ol' Frisco Tell 'em. Tiny Montgomery says hello'
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
