I'm 72 years old. My kids don't want any of my vinyl records so I'm selling my collection. Here is part of my collection in near mint condition. I'll also be posting radio show LP's, box sets and other rare vinyl records. Keep me as a favorite seller and watch for more great stuff!!!
Up for auction here is a brand-new, un-played copy of Bob Dylan and The Band's "The Basement Tape" on 180-gram black vinyl. It is hand-numbered and a total of 2500 copies were pressed. Next to the number is a stamped autograph from Garth Hudson, brilliant organist from The Band who produced and recorded the sessions. The Basement Tapes were recorded in 1967 while Bob Dylan recuperated from a motorcycle accident and features many Dylan songs that had appeared only on bootleg records prior to the "official" release in 1975. The recordings took place in Woodstock and featured four members of the Hawks (Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson - and one American, Levon Helm) better known today as The Band. This title was a special Record Store Day release in 2015. Billed as "the original Basement Tape," it represents the British publishers' demonstration record with the original 14 songs as chosen and assembled in 1968 by Bob Dylan and Garth Hudson. Faithfully restored from the original mono master tapes. Officially available for the first time in this exclusive limited edition, vinyl-only release. Please note that Garth Hudson's signature on this comes from an ink stamp, not from his own hand.
