Unlike the debut album which contained only two songs composed by Bob Dylan, this album released by Columbia Records in May, 1963 already has 11 out of 13 tracks composed by the artist himself. This factory sealed Mono copy with the catalog number CL-1986, in my opinion, represents a very rare 1963 pressing. In any case, based on my experience I can’t recollect the hype sticker being located on any repressing copy. The promotional “SINGING HIS SENSATIONAL HIT “BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND” hype sticker measures 3¼” x 2⅝”  and is located on the cover itself, underneath the shrink wrap. The cover of this copy was printed by Modern Album Finishing Co specifically for Columbia Records. The company located in Terry Haute, IN usually marked its covers with the “1” number printing it at the bottom right corner on the back. The Mono catalog number CL-1986 is located on the front and back cover along with the spine. There is one more and perhaps, the most convincing evidence that this factory sealed copy is an extremely rare very early 1st pressing. When looking attentively, you could see the dark blue inner sleeve through the intact shrink wrap at the cover’s mouth. This is a dark blue striped Columbia Records inner sleeve, which the company used during the period from 1962 to 1963, along with another version of this sleeve which has the tan color.  Between 1963 and 1967, Columbia released all of their LPs with plastic inner sleeves. These sleeves are clear and are rounded on one end. Nevertheless, this very early original issue is the second version of this album containing four replaced tracks: “Girl From the North Country”, “Masters of War”, “Bob Dylan’s Dream” and “Talking World War III Blues”. Incredibly rare factory sealed copy in beautiful condition. The factory shrink wrap with the original breathe holes, two on each side, is fully intact and doesn’t have any splits, tears or missing pieces, only having some very light shelf wear. The album is in great Mint Minus condition and even a staple with a record store price tag in the upper left-hand corner doesn’t spoil the impression of its stunning condition.
