Description
Up for auction is an EXTREMELY rare Bob Dylan 2-LP set. This set was put out by Toasted Records and printed in Australia. The recordings on this collection are absolutely stunning and rare. The live version of "Talkin' New York"is my personal favorite from this collection. There is also a rare version of "Song To Woody" that sounds like it was recorded by Dylan in the "New Morning" or "Self Portrait" studio takes. The album says "Recorded at Gerde's Folk City and The Bear with Studio Acetates". There are some spectacular live versions of early Dylan in Chicago (which the introduction says is Dylan's first Chicago performance) at The Bear and some incredible studio outtakes like Dylan singing "Yesterday" and "Da Doo Run Run". The live versions of "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" is incredible as well as "Corrina, Corrina" and "Talkin' New York". The crowd was absolutely into it during these live performances. Personally I like these live performances much better than the ones released at The Gaslight. This is pure Dylan in a most enthusiastic mood.The complete track listing is below and this collection has two Vinyl LP's. The entire set is in great shape as well. This date on the vinyl says 1985, which I believe to be when this was issued. This is probably one of the most obscure Dylan vinyl collections I have ever seen.This one is very hard to find.
