Description

Bob Dylan LP Another Side of Bob Dylan First Pressing In Shrink!

(Note to newbies: “Still in shrink does not mean still sealed!  It means the album is opened, but the owner didn’t pull the shrink off the cover.)

Cover---The structural integrity of the cover has been extremely well-preserved.  There is absolutely NO loss of slick to any of the seams or spine.  No splits anywhere.  The shrink has done a marvelous job, protecting the structure of the sleeve from deterioration.  The “Guaranteed High Fidelity” disclaimer that appeared on the 1963 cover at the back bottom has been folded over and partially covered by the back slick, but it IS there.  The disclaimer was gone by the late 60’s reissue.

HOWEVER, there is yellowing down the mouth of the cover on both sides.  There is a small area of foxing to the front bottom right cover, where the slick has been split.  There is also some light mildew trapped at the top of the back cover, and less at the bottom.  This is unfortunately, a common occurrence with Columbia Records.  Unlike other major record companies, Columbia did not provide breathe holes in their shrinkwrap during this period of time.

Inner Sleeve---The original company sleeve from Columbia is present and in great condition.  A little dulling, but no seam splits at all anywhere.  Your original Dylan LP will ship in a white sleeve, so as not to seam-split your original Columbia sleeve during shipment to you.

Vinyl---Both sides shine just like brand new under normal room lighting.  But the bare bulb won’t lie to you.  (A flash will tell you anything you want to hear to make a sale, but the bare bulb is the only truth-teller.)  There are a few scant and very light angel lines that appear under the bare bulb.  And even then, the vast majority of both sides look unplayed.  Plates are 1F/2G.  A handsome piece of 1963 vinyl.

(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
