Description
What can be said about this session? It is among the best bop sessions ever! Jimmy Smith with Lou Donaldson, Donald Byrd, Hank Mobley, and Art Blakey! Smokes! Blue Note BLP 1547 Volume One! The lp and jacket are an incredible VG++ to NM. Super clean. White back with no writing. Seams are strong. LP has RVG and Ear with no "R" on labels. Both sides have a Deep Groove and the 47 West 63rd New York 23 labels. This lp has the "Flat Edge" as well. Very nice piece!! AMG reviewed this lp " After cutting five albums with his trio, organist Jimmy Smith on Feb. 11, 1957, recorded with trumpeter Donald Byrd, altoist Lou Donaldson and tenor saxophonist Hank Mobley in a sextet that also included guitarist Eddie McFadden and drummer Art Blakey. Among the five songs recorded that day, two (lengthy versions of "Falling in Love with Love" and "Funk's Oats") are included on this LP along with a shorter trio rendition of "How High the Moon" from two days later with McFadden and drummer Donald Bailey in a trio."
All of my lp's are 100% gauranteed. If for any reason your
not happy I will refund your winning bid.
My lp's are shipped in LP box's with bubble wrap and inserts
