Blue Note Records 1539 (mono) (made in USA) - Horace Silver Quintet - Six Pieces Of Silver LP released in 1957. The address on the labels is Blue Note Records Inc., 47 West 63rd NYC. The initials RVG are stamped in the dead wax on both sides of the record, recording by Rudy Van Gelder. There is a deep groove under the labels on both sides of the record. There is an "R" in a circle under the "E" in "Note" on the labels. The "ear" is stamped in the dead wax on both sides of the record. The address on the back cover is Blue Note Records Inc., 47 West 63rd St., New York 23. The vinyl is heavy.
Personnel: Horace Silver, piano; Donald Byrd, trumpet; Hank Mobley, tenor sax; Doug Watkins, bass; Louis Hayes, drums.
The record is in excellent VG+ condition, there are a few paper scuffs, no scratches. The cover is in VG+ condition; bottom seam has a crack in the middle. Top seam and spine are tight and intact. No writing or holes.
