GRADING
RECORD : NM play grade
1st original mono pressing with Blue Note records 47 west 63 rd. NYC address on both labels
DEEP GROOVE PRESSING. The record has a "deep groove" (an indent in the label about 1/2-inch from the edge of the label, which on SOME labels is associated with very early or first pressings)
RVG engraved by hand and "ear" in the dead wax
PLAY GRADE: NEAR MINT
STUNNING HIGH FIDELITY SOUND !
Cleaned with CLEAR AUDIO VACUUM MATRIX
COVER : NM
Spine, bottom and top seam INTACT, only a little writhe on back (see pic)
NO ring-wear, NO dog-eared corners, NO tears
NO stamps, NO holes, NO stains

A thorough cleaning is recommended before playing to remove mold and mildew spores that may not be visible.
mint- : record and jacket in exceptional condition - virtually same as a new copy - only applied to really outstanding items.
near mint : record and jacket appears in excellent condition - closer examination will show evidence of ownership - lonely scuffs which does not affect play - no ticks - no surface noise - full glossy surface - only a few spindle hole marks - probably the top grading for used records! - jacket in perfect condition apart from minimal edge/ring wear.
very good++ (or NM-) : extremely nice. Would be NM, except for a couple of light hairline scratches or scuffs, which do not affect play.
very good+ : record shows a few scuffs and surface scratches causing occasional ticks - bright and clean surface - spindle hole marks; jacket with edge/ring wear - bended corners - stickers - cutouts - no mechanical defaults.
very good: a well-used record that still sounds OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, ticks, pops, etc.
good : record with scuffs and scratches causing occasional ticks and pops (non revealing!) without skipping - vinyl surface not glossy - spindle hole marks - pressing defaults (bulb) - still a listenable item; jacket with small defects as ripped off stickers - taped seams.
fair : record with scratches causing ticks and pops - occasional revealing ones! - surface noise - lonely offered if item is very rare; jacket with mechanical defaults.
