Item Description:
Blue Note Records 1541 (mono) (made in USA) - Lee Morgan Sextet LP released in 1957. This is an original first pressing. The address on the labels is Blue Note Records 767 Lexington Ave NYC. The initials RVG are stamped in the dead wax on both sides of the record, recording by Rudy Van Gelder. There is a deep groove under the labels on both sides of the record. There is no "R" in a circle under the "E" in "Note" on the labels. The "ear" is stamped in the dead wax on both sides of the record. The address on the back cover is Blue Note Records 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21. The vinyl is very heavy.
Personnel: Lee Morgan, trumpet; Hank Mobley, tenor sax; Kenny Rodgers, alto sax; Horace Silver, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; Charlie Persip, drums.
The record is in VG+ condition; plays with an occasional pop or tick. The cover is in VG condition; bottom seam has an 8 inch split from the leading edge. The spine is unbroken.The top seam is not split. There is a tear on the front cover (see scan). There is writing, some brown spots and a rubber stamp on the back cover (see scan).
