Blue Feather -  Shadows Of The Night



Blue Feather was a Dutch funk band early 80s international
broke with their single "Let's funk tonight." A very strong funk track their
debut album "Feather Funk" released in 1981 by Mercury. Their second album
released in 1985 by CNR had a more pop / funk sound and is to this day
Today is still a very popular album. As their CD still good
markets (especially international) PTG is now with the re-release of their vinyl LP.

The best tracks of this album "Shadows of the Night" (inlc. Clubmix), "This night we stick together" "Funky nights" and "Feel good" (even with extended version). Shadows of the night is a funky soulful album that was ahead of its time at the time of release. In those days there were few Dutch funk bands with international allure.

Blue Feather was een Nederlandse funk band die begin jaren ‘80 international
doorbrak met hun single “Let’s funk tonight”. Een zeer sterke funk track van hun
debuut album “Feather Funk” uitgebracht in 1981 door Mercury. Hun tweede album
uitgebracht in 1985 door CNR had een meer pop/funk sound en is tot op de dag
van vandaag nog altijd een zeer gewild album. Aangezien hun CD nog steeds goed
verkoopt (vooral international) komt PTG nu met de re-release van hun vinyl LP.

De beste tracks van dit album zijn “Shadows of the night” (inlc. clubmix), “This night we stick together” “Funky nights” en “Feel good” (ook met extended versie). Shadows of the night is een funky soulful album dat ten tijde van de release zijn tijd ver vooruit was. In die dagen waren er weinig Nederlandse funk groepen met internationale allure.
