Description
Blink "Short Bus" Split 7" with The Iconoclasts released 1994. Extremely rare (I couldn't find concrete numbers, but it seems to be agreed that there are only somewhere between 200 and 500 copies that exist in the world) first known 7" and recording by the band released by Velvet Pompadour Records in 1994 on colored maroon/red/dark purple vinyl. A side has Blink (this was released prior to adding the 182 to their name) songs "Does My Breath Smell" and "Wasting Time," B side has The Iconoclasts "My Nature," "Dysphoria" and "For Good Measure."
Included photo shows front and back cover insert, as well as the record. I couldn't get a good enough picture to really show the color, the photo always makes it look like off black.
History: I purchased this off ebay myself back around 1998-99. I have never played it. I believe there was one owner before me, who I purchased it from. It has the original inner paper sleeve and poly sleeve as well as the cover insert. There was no 'Message of Hope' included when I purchased it, so that is the only thing that would be missing. This has just been stored by me for the past of 13 years. There is the normal wear and age for an item that is nearly 20 years old. I would give the record itself a VG rating, and the insert a NM rating. There are 2 hardly noticeable hairline scratches I can see on the Blink side that look like it was grazed and there is light scuffling that I'm certain a light cleaning would easily fix. The insert, on the Iconoclasts side on the lower corner has a slight curve where the record sits. Slight spindle hole wear on the Blink side.
Shipping domestically (U.S.) will be $4 media mail. International ("First Class International") shipping will be $8. Shipping to Canada will be $5.
I use sturdy record mailers and am a careful packager. Shipping insurance optional ($1.75 USD - seller not responsible if item is damaged/lost in transit if insurance is not taken. Email at auction's end if interested)
If you're not satisfied with your purchase for some reason, just communicate with me; I'm reasonable.

If it's any consolation, here is the text of the "Message of Hope" (again, not included in this item):
“This side of the record was rusted, recorded, mixed, remixed, and generally f’ked up in early summer 1994 at Doubletime Studios in the heart of Santee, California. Jeff Forrest engineered it all, We used the two inch reel, which costs about six times as much as the one inch reel, and ends up sounding the same. Go figure. During the course of the recording, Tom confessed his love for solid-stock electronics, and had what was perhaps the worst gas of all time. Mark cussed incessantly, while alternately picking his nose, scratching his balls, and cupping his farts onto people, never quite understanding why his hand smelled so funny. Scott spent a good deal of time at the sound board, in search of some elusive "plastic" sound on the bass drum. "Could you plasticate the bass drum a little more?" (whatever the f’k that means) we never really figured it out, and the world may never know. Failing that, Scott played darts. Sorry that this record sounds so cheezy. It's not our fault. The place that it was pressed at turned out to be lame, and by the time we discovered this fact, the money was spent. Hope it didn't cost you more than a couple of bucks to buy. If so, you have our apologies, sucker!”
