Black Sabbath UK Vertigo V06
Matrices: V06 1Y*1 420 12 1 2 and V06 2Y*1 420 12 1 C
The record is in very good condition. It is clean, flat and retains most of its shine. It has, however, been dulled by a sizeable number of light bag rash marks. They make little if any difference to the sound but are visible even under normal light. There are no deep scratches or scuffs but there are a number of marks easily visible under bright light. These, like the bag rash make little intrusion sound wise. Indeed, the sound is fine throughout. There is some very light crackle in between tracks and the very occasional almost inaudible pop (this is Black Sabbath). There are no loud pops, skips or jumps. This is a genuinely great listen.
The labels are in very good condition. There are the usual spindle marks and a light scratch to one side but no major defects: no stickers, tears or writing.
The cover is in good condition. Typical of this very flimsy cover it is intact but has some significant edge and corner wear. This has caused a couple of small splits one to the bottom edge at the opening and one to the spine. They are possibly repairable but I haven't tried. There is also a light surface tear where a price sticker has been carelessly removed. There is general wear over all (see photos)
No-one could pretend that this copy is even close to mint but it is genuinely a superb listening copy.
