Black Randy & Metrosquad - I Slept In An Arcade - 7" ORIGINAL LA punk -1979 kbd
Absolutely one of my favorite records ever. Black Randy & The Metrosquad are basically
indescribable, but Black Randy, with bandmates David Brown and Pat Garrett, founded
Dangerhouse Records and did the world a service. Their music, on this record, ranges from
the hilariously jokey "I Slept In An Arcade" to the amazing punk-funk-soul-jazz jam "Give It
Up Or Turn It A-Loose." The band also appeared in the legendary "Ladies And Gentlemen,
The Fabulous Stains," where Randy was beaten up in a movie fight by the angry Brit punker
Ray Winstone. This is all classic stuff. Alas, poor Randy passed away in 1988 from AIDS.
He is missed.
The cover sleeve, protected by its original plastic outer sleeve, is in great shape. There is very
little wear, but there is a rough spot where a price sticker fell off. The vinyl is in great shape
with perfect labels and plays beautifully. Check the audio clips. Original 1979 release on
Dangerhouse Records, number KY-724. A new paper inner sleeve will be provided for
shipping purposes.

Note: All records are packed in sturdy, specialized mailers for LPs and 7-inch records,
with 12-inch or 7-inch cardboard inserts on each side of the record for added strength.
Records without inner sleeves are provided with new ones so the vinyl can be laid on top
of the outer sleeve to avoid seam splits during transit.
