Birkagården ~ Gärdet - LP Original press on Rosa Honung 1986
Ok first of all .. I hate to use the word "rare" , cause in todays ebay world everything is rare or mega rare. But in this case I think I will have to use that word, cause this is indeed a rare record only pressed in 235 copies. This is no.224 out of 235. Im gonna try and tell you everything I know about it.
Birkagården was a hangout place in the 80´s a lot of Swedish bands preformed there, for example the today legendary performance by Anti Cimex. (my all time favorite band!) Rosa Honung released this record 1986 , all songs are recorded live from Birkagården and Gärdet 1985/86 and for some reason they only released 235 copies of this LP. Every copy is hand numbered, numbers are written on both sleeve and cover. The cover is actually a reused cover , as many punk releases from Sweden in the 80´s a lot of bands only had 2 sheet covers that was made from xerox machines. Rosa Honung has on this record made a 2 sheet and then glued it to another cover, the cover underneath is another Rosa Honung release called Vågrätt - Samliv from 1981. I would guess they had left over covers and just reused them, I seen one more copy of the Birkagården LP and its the same as this, so probably all where made like this.
A very cool and "rare" record, happy bidding.
Labels are white on both side, matrix reads : ROSALP-23 (probably mean its their 23d release, not sure about that one) 25/3 86 GP (dates of press and GP is short for GrammoPlast, where the record was pressed) BA GP on other side its the same except that you read ROSALP - 85 instead.
Condition on record and cover is VG.
