Description
As I upgraded on this (Thanks Michel!) my old copy may go. Not just a record like that. This is from my personal top 5 of Dutch 60s 45s. (Interpreters, Fallouts, St Gyles System, Bumblebees...) The Bintangs came from Beverwijk near Amsterdam and started as a wyld snotty garage r&b band. On this 45 they tried out a new sound and came up trumps with one of the earliest real psychedelic sounding garage 45's I know off. (Another weird early one is the second NV Groep 65 45). Like a small micracle. The snotty snarly vocs of Gus Pleines are put into a weird dark eastern psych tune and together this is of not of this world beauty. Almost sounding like a continental Rocky Erickson. Also has a typical Dutch wyld Freakbeat break like the Outsiders had on their early releases. This is a visionary record and collectorfreaks who can put a record into it's Historical context will be blown away like I am. A truely major fave. It was released by the tiny private rec label 'Yep-Recs'. Disc is VG to VG+ playing OK with some noise and one label is a bit damaged. Original sleeve is VG++ with some wear and slight writing. I was at the Utrecht fair a week ago and did not even see one other copy of this. This is megarare. Has been my copy for years cause I just could not find another one!
