Condition:
Plain White sleeve (sorry, no Immediate sleeve)
Vinyl visual grade:
Strictly VG according to my record collector guide. Several surface scuffs / light scratches on both sides. Hairline scratch fully across Side A (see photos and description below)
Vinyl audio grade:
Would You Believe : Light surface noise crackles at the start but inaudible once it gets going. What a classic slice of late 60's music this is !!! Hairline scratch audible during the end fade out, ticks once every revolution. There is no (or very little) audible wear at all.
Daytime Girl : Slightly less crackles than Would You Believe and again no (or very little) audible wear at all.
Other information:
This is rare enough in it’s standard form, but this demo copy is something quite special. It sounds really nice too (played on my Rega 3 with AT331LP cartridge) !!!!
I can best describe it as ‘aged’ (it is nearly 40 years old !!!) but I don’t want to do it an injustice. It’s not a mint copy. It plays better than it looks (see audio grading above) and certainly nothing anywhere near a jump or a skip, just some surface crackles. There is a torn area on each side of the label where I guess a sticker has been removed. Side A has a big red 'A' on it and the ‘Arranged : Small Faces’ and ‘Produced: Steve Marriott: Ronnie Lane’ credits. Both sides have ‘DEMONSTRATION SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE’ and ‘Release date 12.1.68’. Side B has a pen tick mark on it. I’ve trawled around the internet for a quite a while and found no references to a demo version, but here it is !!!
