Dark red label with silver text, deep groove, mono. Billie Holiday sings 12 songs. On 4 tracks she is accompanied by Frankie Newton, trumpet; Tab Smith, alto sax; Kenneth Hollon, Stanley Payne, tenor saxes; Sonny White, piano; James McLin, guitar; John Williams, bass; Eddie Dougherty, drums. On 5 tracks she is accompanied by Eddie Heywood, piano; Doc Cheatham, trumpet; Lem Davis, alto sax; Vic Dickenson, trombone; Teddy Walters, guitar; John Simmons, bass; Sid Catlett, drums. On 3 tracks she is accompanied by Heywood, piano; Simmons, bass, Catlett, drums.
Cover: Good+ 1 1/2" split on the bottom edge. 3" and 4" split on the spine. 3 initials are written in very small print in the upper margin corner of the back cover. This is a minor condition,. Slight aging on the back cover. The conbdition of the front cover is close to new.
Record: VG Visually shows no wear though played several times. There is some spindle wear on the labels. On all Tracks there is some light groove noise in places and a few clicks. Some of the clicks are isolated and some repete for several revolutions. Most clicks are faint and barely audible. There is not continuous noise and much of noise is barely audible but it occurs on all Tracks. Audibly checked.
