ARTIST:  Billie Holiday

TITLE:  Billie Holiday   Volume 1

LABEL:  Commodore  FL 20,005

mono/stereo:  mono

 

RECORD:  VG +++ (disc is very clean and shows light use, not a perfect play but very close, visually vinyl still has a nice shine, small pressing bubble causes a brief section where sound is a little muted, a short section at end of side 1 with light tics but otherwise a very solid play, very little background or pops for this era of vinyl)

LABELS: NM- (just slight wear around spindle hole on side 2, no spindle tracks, very clean)

JACKET:  VG + (tape on top and bottom seam, heavy wear on spine, age soiling on back, worn corners, general wear, liner notes are fine, in spite of stated flaws the cover still displays nicely and has the look you would expect from 1950)

 

COMMENTS: For me this was the hardest Billie Holiday LP to find and I would suspect that it is the most coveted for Billie Holiday collectors.  The cover is very nice but not exceptional.  The vinyl is more than nice and I would say the play quality is just short of what you would expect the record to sound like when it was new.  New owner will be very pleased with this one.

 

PACKING:  Your record will be cleaned on VPI then professionally packed using LP mailer.  Record will be taken out of jacket and placed in inner sleeve.  Both jacket and record will be secured between two cardboard squares then placed inside LP mailer.  Packing for multiple LP purchases may vary from this in order to ship in same box.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS:  Domestic -Paypal, certified check drawn on USA bank, personal check drawn on USA bank (waiting period), money order drawn on USA bank, International – Paypal, international postal money order

 

SHIPPING & INSURANCE USA:  Media S&H in continental USA is $4.75 plus $1.00 for each additional LP when mailed in same parcel.  Priority Mail S&H in continental USA is $7.75 plus $2.00 for each additional LP when mailed in same parcel. 

Insurance is optional and the rates are as follows:  $1 to $50 = $1.35;  $51 to $100 = $2.30; add $1.05 for each $100 of additional insurance.

 

SHIPPING & HANDLING INTERNATIONAL:

Europe –  $8.35 for surface ($3 extra for each additional LP in same parcel) or $15.50 for letter post airmail ($5 extra for each additional LP in same parcel)

Japan – $8.50 for surface ($3 extra for each additional LP in same parcel) or $17.20 for letter post airmail ($5 extra for each additional LP in same parcel)

E-mail for a shipping rate for a country not listed

Insurance available as extra charge but is available for parcel post only – this is an upgrade from the letter post quoted above
